Following this, he was invited to stay on as teaching faculty and named the Associate Program Director. He played a key role in shaping the academic activities and mentoring the residents. In two successive years, he was awarded the highly coveted “Richard Langdorf Award for the Best Teaching Faculty”, as chosen by his peers.

This highly specialized training helped him attain extensive knowledge in peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis therapies. In addition, he dedicated 6 months of his Nephrology training to be fully trained in lnterventional Nephrology and has successfully performed over 200 angioplasties of AV fistulas, as well as placement of multiple tunneled hemodialysis catheters.

After his fellowship training, he joined The Kidney and Hypertension Group, one of the most prominent Nephrology practices in South Florida. He enjoys practicing Nephrology in the 4 busy out-patient offices, 5 hospitals and various hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis clinics served by the Group.
